Areas
MLAG’s focus is the philosophical study of mind, language and action. The group’s projects, activities and publications fall into the four following areas:
- Mind and Language
- Logics and Philosophy
- Action, Agency and Rationality
- Contemporary Philosophy: history and systems of thought.
Although its main orientation is analytical, MLAG is committed to be attentive to other traditions of contemporary philosophy – we search a dialogue with non analytic tradition of philosophy. This should be done through our interest in the history of philosophy and also as a natural development of research on specific issues. Also behind our interest in questions regarding mind, language and action, lies an interest in understanding the begginings of the analytical tradition with people such as Frege, Russell and Wittgenstein.
